Today marks a very impressive milestone for Pivot. A member of the Pivot community has posted their 10,000th post to the Pivot Support Forum! Who could this super supporter of the Pivot community be? Who could care so much about others to spend so much time offering to help? The man of the hour is known to the community as madjo, and to those who are lucky enough to know him a bit better, Marcel de Jong.
After migrating from the old support forum (located at mijnkopthee.nl) Marcel joined the current support forum in September of 2002. It didn't take long to notice the significant contribution Marcel was making to the community and he was offered the position of Forum Moderator, which he accepted.
Since that time the Pivot community has grown by leaps and bounds as Pivot has continued to develop and improve. Marcel has been with us through all of this and his contributions to the community never stopped. Today, Marcel continues helping people with support related issues, is a member of the Pivot [Dev] mailing list, is a full member of the Pivot Team, is involved with the Pivot Documentation Project and manages MyPivot, a site that offers Pivot support in Dutch amoung many other things!
Our hat is off to you, Marcel. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend to the Pivot community and for unselfishly giving so much of yourself to others. As I have said on several other occasions, it is the people of the Pivot community that make Pivot as great as it is. You are a shining example of the good in our community and an example to the rest of us of dedication, loyalty and generosity.
